The last weeks before the birth are full of excitement – and full of tasks. The nursery needs setting up, appointments keep coming, and the bump makes cleaning, bending and scrubbing increasingly tiring. That is why many parents-to-be in Zürich want their flat to be properly clean once before the baby comes home. This is exactly what our one-off cleaning is for: no subscription, no long commitment, simply when you need it.
Quick request: send your location, preferred date and 2–3 photos via WhatsApp to +41 78 747 15 14.
Why cleaning before the birth is such a relief
Experience shows that after the birth there is little time and energy left for housework. If you have your home cleaned thoroughly beforehand, you start the first weeks with your baby in a tidy, fresh home. You do not have to climb a ladder or scrub the oven yourself – you can save your energy for the things that really matter.
Priorities: what we clean first
Not every corner has to be perfect. We focus on the areas used most in everyday life with a baby. We agree the order with you in advance.
Kitchen
Worktops, cupboard fronts, sink, hob and, on request, the inside of the fridge and oven. A clean kitchen makes preparing meals and bottles easier in the first weeks.
Bathroom
Shower or bathtub, washbasin, toilet, taps, mirror and tiles. After the birth, the bathroom often also becomes the place for changing and bathing the baby.
Floors
Vacuuming and damp-mopping all floors, including corners and under furniture that is easy to move. Clean floors are worth a lot, especially once your little one starts crawling.
Nursery
Dusting shelves, the chest of drawers and window sills, cleaning surfaces and the floor. Ideally, the furniture is already assembled so that assembly dust and packaging remains can be removed at the same time.
Flexible access while you are out
You do not need to be at home during the cleaning. Many parents use the time for a doctor’s appointment, a walk or some shopping. We arrange access with you, for example through a key handover in advance or via neighbours. You receive a short WhatsApp message once we are done. Depending on availability, short-notice appointments are also possible – just ask. We are closed on Sundays.

What determines the price

- Size of the flat and number of rooms
- Desired scope, for example with or without the inside of the oven and fridge
- Current condition of the rooms
- Preferred date
With 2–3 photos of the kitchen, bathroom and nursery, we can usually estimate the effort quickly.
Checklist before the cleaning appointment
- Choose a date with some buffer before the due date
- Set priorities: which rooms matter most?
- If possible, assemble baby furniture beforehand and dispose of packaging
- Roughly clear away loose items so surfaces are free
- Arrange access: clarify key handover or whether you will be home
- Let us know special requests, such as delicate surfaces or preferred cleaning products
- Send photos via WhatsApp so we arrive well prepared
After the birth: regular help if you want it
The one-off cleaning comes without a subscription. If you find after the birth that regular support would help, you can switch to our home cleaning at any time – for example weekly or every two weeks. If the flat has not been cleaned thoroughly for a while, a deep clean (Tiefenreinigung) can also make sense to start with.

Frequently asked questions
When is the best time for cleaning before the birth?

Do I have to take out a subscription?
No. Cleaning before the birth is a one-off visit. Regular home cleaning afterwards is optional.
Do I need to be at home during the cleaning?
No. We arrange access with you, for example with a key handover. You can use the time for appointments or to rest.
Is a short-notice appointment possible?
Yes, depending on availability. Find out more on our page about short-notice cleaning in Zürich.
